Delete Your Account & Data
Effective date: 18 June 2026
You can delete your Touch account — and the personal data tied to it — at any time, directly in the app. This page explains how, how to request deletion if you can no longer sign in, and exactly what is removed and what little we keep for safety.
Delete your account in the app (fastest)
- Open Touch and go to Settings (your profile → the settings icon).
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm on the "Delete your account?" screen.
Deletion begins immediately and can't be undone.
Can't access the app?
If you've lost access — you uninstalled Touch, you're signed out, or you no longer have the device — email support@touchapp.app from the email address on your Touch account, with the subject "Delete my account". We'll verify that you own the account and complete the deletion within 30 days (usually much sooner).
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we remove:
- Your profile and photos
- Your Journey — Stations, the places/dwells your day resolved to, and your proximity encounters
- Your likes, matches, and all chat messages
- Your device push-notification tokens
- Your sensing and diagnostic records
- You are also removed from every other user's Journey and Stations
Your raw GPS samples are deleted automatically within 24 hours, independent of account deletion — so by the time you delete, recent location samples have already aged out.
What we keep, and why
A small set of safety and anti-abuse records is retained even after your account is deleted, so we can keep the community safe and meet our legal and safety obligations:
- Reports and moderation outcomes
- Automated abuse / location-spoofing signals
- Admin action logs (a record of who-accessed-whom; auto-deleted after 12 months)
These records are server-side only and never readable by other users. See the Privacy Policy §7 for the full retention table and the safety-record exception.
